The alchemy, art & science of blending scents
Whether you are making, soap, candles, are interested in natural perfumery, or are just plain fascinated by the  essential oils of plants - this workshop is for you. The essential oils will be furnished and we will explore what makes a lasting scent, what oils should be combined, and some of the science behind scents.  You will create your own blend to take home as well as a bottle of linen spray. You will also learn how to make your own hydrosol using fresh herbs from your back yard.

Making your own herbal medicines
Our grandmothers and great grandmothers did it.  They used homemade herbal blends to keep sickness at bay and to intervene in the sicknesses that did come along.  We can do this, too.  In this workshop we will learn different techniques for using herbs as medicines, how to use herbs safely, and what herbs are appropriate for different interventions.

The Herbal Spa
Come for a few hours of relaxation and pampering.  We will experience an herbal facial and learn to pamper our feet.  We will also learn to make the herbal cosmetics we will be using.  Bring 2 towels (one small one large) a shallow basin.
